Delivery and Returns

Delivery

We offer FREE DELIVERY on all orders of £100 or more. For any order under £100, there is a small charge of £4.95.

With so many different products sizes and types we thought that it was just too complicated for us to try and work out how much an order would cost to ship, let alone how we would try and explain it! Therefore, we wanted to make this as easy as possible and be true to our customer commitment to be as transparent as possible.

We use different delivery types for different size parcels, and these are detailed below and on each product page.

Orders with multiple items

If your NiX items are available then they will be shipped once your order has been processed. If any of the items in your order are out of stock or if it is a made-to-order item, they will be shipped once they have arrived at our warehouse.

However, if you want all your items delivered at the same time once they become available, then give us a call at 0330 058 1551 or email to discuss your options.

If you order a made-to-order item and an item that is in stock, those will automatically be delivered in two separate shipments. Don’t worry though – you don’t have to pay any extra in this instance.

United States

International orders

Unfortunately, we only deliver to the UK mainland, which sadly means that Northern Ireland and the Channel Islands are out of reach for our delivery team. However, we are planning to change this in the near future. If you sign up to our newsletter then we will keep you informed when we launch wider International Delivery.

If you live abroad, we will happily deliver to a UK-based international shipping company of your choice. Please contact us to arrange.

Standard Parcels

(cushions, lighting, lamp shades, wallpapers, bedside and side tables)

For smaller items, your NiX order will be delivered via DHL courier service.

DHL delivers Monday to Friday between 7.00am and 7.00pm and generally takes 1-3 working days to reach you, if the item is in stock.  A tracking number will be provided via email once your order has been collected. If you provide your mobile number, DHL will send you a link for parcel tracking and delivery information directly to your phone.​

They send you an estimated one-hour delivery window and the opportunity to switch to another day if the day offered is not convenient.

Fabric orders

(excluding swatches)

For extra-large parcels, your NiX orders will be delivered via DX courier service.

DX delivers Monday to Friday between 7.00am and 7.00pm and generally takes 3-5 working days to reach you, if the item is in stock. ​

Medium-sized items​

(floor lamps, coffee tables, desks, and consoles)

For medium-sized items, NiX orders will be sent via our 1-man, delivery partner Rhenus and are delivered right to your doorstep. This includes delicate, fragile or smaller items of furniture that do not require assembly.

For items that are in stock, our partner can deliver within 10 working days of the order confirmation. If the item that you have ordered is 'made to order' we'll provide a delivery estimate when you place your order.

They will contact you directly to make a delivery booking and will email you the details. They deliver Monday to Saturday between 7.00am and 7.00pm and they will call you on the day of delivery 1 hour before they arrive.

Large sized items

(sofas, armchairs, dining tables)

For large-sized items, NiX orders will be sent via our 2-man, white glove delivery partner Rhenus. Items are delivered to the room of your choice, assembled if required and any packaging is taken away for recycling. If you need your old sofa collected, for a small fee we can arrange for it to be removed.

To ensure your delivery goes as smoothly as possible, it is worth checking the dimensions of your new piece to ensure that it will fit through doorways and tight turns, up staircases and underneath ceilings, before you place your order. If any door frames, windows or bannisters need to be removed to get it in, you will need to arrange this before we arrive. We’ve put together a furniture delivery guide to help you check whether it will fit and other preparations to ensure your delivery day goes smoothly.

For items that are in stock, our partner can deliver within 10 working days of the order confirmation. If the item you have ordered is 'made to order' we'll provide a delivery estimate when you place your order. Our partner will usually deliver within 10 working days of the item arriving at their warehouse.

Once the item is in our warehouse, our 2-man delivery partner will contact you directly to make a delivery booking and will email you the details. They deliver Monday to Saturday between 7.00am and 7.00pm in four-hour delivery time slots. Please advise NiX customer services in advance of any access issues or restrictions to the property, e.g. narrow stairwell, no parking.

On the delivery day, the team will confirm the delivery time via a phone call approximately one hour prior to arriving at your property.

All our sofas are shipped with transit feet to minimise any damage during transit. The delivery team will assemble the correct NiX feet for your sofa when they install it at your home. However, if you need to leave the sofa unassembled for any reason once it has arrived, please just note that you will need to change the feet yourself when you are ready to use it. This is very easy and there is no drilling required. The transit feet simply unscrew and the NiX feet will screw in their place. If you need to turn the sofa/chair over to change the feet, please be careful to avoid damaging the fabric.

Cancellations or failed deliveries

Please note, for medium or large-size items, any cancellation within 48 hours of the delivery date will incur a failed delivery charge of £75. This charge will also apply if no one is present to receive your delivery at a time agreed with the carrier.

Returns Information

We really hope that you will be more than delighted with your NiX pieces. However, if you decide it doesn’t quite work and want to exchange it for something else, or if you have just changed your mind, then we have a no-quibbles returns policy, and we’ll happily take back most pieces within 28 days of when we delivered them, as long as they are in their original packaging (unless we took this away for you) and without any signs of use. Please follow the instructions listed below.​

​To return small-sized items with DHL please contact our customer service team who will be happy to help you set up your return for a small fee of £6.95.

​To return medium-sized items that are delivered to your doorstep, we’ll need to charge £35 to collect the item that you’re returning. However, if you tell us when we deliver it, we can take it back with us free of charge. Please just let the delivery driver know before they leave.

​When it comes to large items that are delivered and installed via our white-gloved delivery service, we will need to charge £75 to cover the cost of collection. However, if you tell us when we deliver it, and before the installation team leave, we will take it back free of charge. ​

​We also take every care to make sure our beautifully useful designs reach you in perfect condition, but in the unlikely event that something isn't quite right with your order, we're here to help. If your item arrives faulty or damaged in any way, please call us and we can arrange a repair or replacement.

Please follow the instructions below:

  1. Give us a call on 0330 058 1551 or send us an email at cservices@nicolaharding.com requesting a return. Please include your sales order number.
  2. We will then issue you with a sales return number and explain how to return your NiX items.​

  3. Please wrap your item you want to return as securely as possible, so it arrives back at our warehouse safely.

  4. Remember to write your sales return order number on the outside of your parcel as this will help speed up your refund.

  5. If you are returning a medium or large item, we will arrange for our delivery partner to come and collect the item.

Refunds

Once you have returned your item and it has been received by our warehouse, we will refund you the original payment excluding the return cost. Please note refunds can take up to five days to process.​
