The course is perfect for anyone looking to embark on a complete renovation of their home, or simply looking to decorate a few rooms. Whether you are undertaking a project by yourself or considering using an interior designer to help, this course will give you rare access into Nix’s philosophy and creative process to help you mastermind your project.

You will be given first-hand insights into the core components of her unique creative process, where she will talk about her philosophy of home making, calling on her experience of designing homes for leading figures from the film and music industry, artists, politicians and royalty.

Description

This day is an opportunity to learn about Nix’s core philosophy in making a house a home and get first-hand exclusive insights into her tips and techniques for achieving the home of your dreams. 

Nix will start the day with what homemaking means to her and how the homing instinct has helped her create amazing houses and homes for family and for her clients.

In the second morning session, Nix will talk you through a case study for one of her projects, walking through how the concept design is crafted and how she brings together the building blocks of the design.

After lunch you will learn about the use of space including room-by-room layouts followed by two sessions on Fixtures, Fittings and Finishes; including lighting, colour, hard finishes, window treatments, furniture and decorative items, such as fabrics and accessories. 

This course is taught by Nix, with assistance from one of the NH associates.

The course is structured as a talk with slides format, but with some practical demos throughout the day.

Arrival from 9.30am. The course commences at 10am and ends at 5pm

FAQs

In our Nicola Harding & Co 1st floor studio space, located in Queens Park

Our studio is just a short walk from both Queens Park and Brondesbury Park stations. If you're arriving by car, there are a number of free parking spaces available on Lonsdale Road.

There is free but limited parking on Lonsdale road, which is supplied on a first come first served basis. 

There is also a local Bent Council car park. For more information please click here.

If you have any dietary requirements, please do get in touch ahead of time so that we can accommodate. Vegetarian options will be available as standard.

You may cancel or change the date of your ticket up to 48 hours before the scheduled time of the course for a full refund.

If you cancel less than 48 hours before your chosen course, you will be charged in full. If you request to  change the date with less than 48 hours notice, this is subject to availability and you may be charged a rescheduling fee.

We will provide all equipment you will need, but if you do have floor plans for a project/your home bring those along too for reference.

You will leave our studio armed with the knowledge needed to design your home. 
We will also provide all guests with an NH&Co pack, to collate any notes, swatches and information from the day.

A special NiX by Nicola Harding gift will be provided at the end of the course, along with an exclusive discount to use on our e-shop.

You will gain first hand insight into the processes that Nix goes through when designing a space.
